Champion for Nature: Keeping Clean Beaches

The beach is often overlooked, yet it is one of the most vulnerable environments. A littered beach poses serious hazards because the ocean tends to return what it cannot accept—mainly the waste we dump or drain into it through human activities. This pollution not only washes back onto the shore but also disrupts marine life, contributing to the extinction of some ocean species. As a result, fish stocks have declined significantly, affecting the livelihoods of many coastal communities.
