28th Mega Blood Donation Camp

The inspiration behind this project stems from the desire to save lives and promote humanitarian values among students. Recognizing the urgent need for blood in medical emergencies, the initiative encourages voluntary blood donation, fostering compassion, social responsibility, and unity. It reflects the institution’s commitment to community welfare and the spirit of service toward humanity.

The 28th Mega Blood Donation Camp was held on 9th October 2025 at Sri Leo Muthu Indoor Stadium, Sri Sairam Institutions. It was supported by hospitals like RGGH, IRCH, Adyar Cancer Institute, Royapettah Hospital, Omandurar Multi-Speciality Hospital, ESI Hospital, and Hindu Mission Hospital. Students, staff, and volunteers ensured smooth registration, donation, and donor care under program officers’ guidance.

The project taught the importance of teamwork, planning, and social responsibility. It enhanced leadership, coordination, and communication skills among students and volunteers. Participants learned about the medical significance of blood donation, donor safety, and community service. The experience fostered empathy, discipline, and a strong commitment to humanitarian values while contributing to saving countless lives.
