On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Bharat Scouts and Guides, a 10 km Walkathon was organized under the leadership of the 132nd Kairali Open Scout Group, from the Edappally Metro Station to the Aluva Metro Station. The Walkathon was flagged off by Assistant State Organizing Commissioner C.S. Sudheesh Kumar. During the event, short leaflets containing the goals and principles of the Scouts and Guides movement were distributed. The closing ceremony, held near the Aluva Metro Station, was inaugurated by District Secretary P.A. Joseph Puthussery. District Commissioner (S) V.T. Charlie, District Commissioner (R) Commissioner Dharmaraj Shelvaraj, members of the Powrasamithi such as Sabu Pariyarath, Nizam Puzhithara, Abbas Toshiyabapuram, A.U. Jose, Mohan Rao, Aluva LA Secretary Kalyani Mohan Kumar, and Ambyli Teacher, also spoke at the event. Kairali Open Scout Group Leader P.S. Vijayakumar, Rover Leaders Aneesh Ashokan, Nivin Venugopal Rovermates Rahul Baby, Ajesh T.V., Praveen K.P, and Anuraj V R led the Walkathon.
