LASY FANOMANANA & FANANTERANA The TILY ETO MADAGASIKARA TRAINING CAMP From Dec.26th to 30
For the 2016 Christmas holidays, the 27 districts of Tily Eto Madagasikara organize the 2nd training camp of the year: FANOMANANA & FANATERANA (1st and 2nd degree training camp) that organize the districts for the chiefs/scoutmaster. An organization since several decades that many hasten to participate according to their "functions and responsibilities" and to validate their research and implementation within the movement, it is also an opportunity to inculcate to the chiefs and chieftains the values of Scouting "Mission and Vision"; ultimately develop their roles as educators or instructors or facilitators for years to come.
For the Foibe (Head Office) such a training camp is an opportunity to share the goal for the pedagogical years 2016-2017 "Together towards Excellence".
As information, the Tils Eto Madagasikara organize two training camps each year during the Easter and Christmas holidays alongside the thematic conferences for the heads of units. Thereafter the districts organize a camp for a wood badge called "RAVIANLA". A name inspired by the Ravenala madagascarensis or traveller’s tree, in which the leaves and branches can be used for various purposes in our dailies - precisely on the eastern side of the big island, from the province of Tamatave To Manakara via Mananjary. In this sense the Ravinala by its qualities is an asset for the heads of units to be more involved and to be able to use them for their mission of educator in Madagascar alongside the family and the national education.
Included in camp schedule, the GRAND JEU “Big Game”, then go to Exploration, and lastly the campfire "AFON-DASY", an opportunity to strengthen the cohesion of group and The Scout Brotherhood, conveying messages for the local residents present on the site on various subjects that the movement carries within the framework of the Messenger of peace program: namely protection of the environment, health and hygiene “WASH”, literacy without forgetting Evangelism - a fundamental value for Scouting in Madagascar.
Lastly, more than 5000 young people are part of the heads of unit with the Tily Eto Madagascar with an average age of 22 years.
