The International Day of Peace is held every year on 21st September. Also called Peace Day, the first celebration was adopted by United Nations in 1982. It would be in 2001 that nations of the world established September 21st as international Peace Day. Theme of the day: “END RACISM, BUILD PEACE” On 21st September 2022, the officiating principal with other teachers and students have celebrated International Peace Day, which was organized by the scout masters and members of Depheling Primary School. The event began with unfurling of peace day banner and speech by two students followed by presentation made by scout master specifically on why we celebrate international day of peace.
