Partant de l'initiation aux fondamentaux du scoutisme de la branche jaune, ces jeunes ont clôturé leur étape de novice par une grande cérémonie de promesse le Dimanche 13 Mai 2018 dans l'enceinte de leur groupe située à Makepe - Douala. La cérémonie a débuté par une courte animation, après le questionnaire de promesse fait par le chef de meute, tous les nouveaux scouts ont récité avec bravoure le texte de promesse puis on pris toute la bénédiction de leur parents et enfin ont chanté tous ensemble le chant de promesse. La présence des parents scouts étaient d'une importance remarquable dans l'accompagnement de ces jeunes car c'est les comité des parents scouts qui a organisé et géré l'activité aussi bien financièrement que matériellement.
