Youth Parliament online Competition

In order to develop democratic ethos in the younger generation, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Udhampur conducts Online Youth Parliament Competition under the guidance of Director NYKs, Gill and District Youth Officer, Kushal Gupta.The Scout Master Rakesh Sharma, Amar Dev Singh, Dr Khem Raj, Politician Gagan Deep Sharma and well known Painter of Basoli Painter,SS Baloria were in the jury Members. The youth from District Udhampur, Doda, Kishwar, Ramban,Reasi, Leh and Kargil were participated this this competition. Through this competition, 44 candidates will b shortlisted from 22 districts of UT Jammu and Kashmir for state level competition then there only two participants will be selected for National Level Competition. The Scout Master Rakesh Sharma said that the aim of such competitions are to strengthening the roots of democracy, inculcate healthy habits of discipline, tolerance of the views of others and to enable the student community to know something about the working of Parliament, the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs have decided in consultation with the Institutions like Bharat Scouts and Guides, Nehru Yuva Kendra etc to introduce a scheme of National Youth Parliament competition. The Scouts Master Amar Dev Singh told that Subjects for discussion at the Youth Parliament would be desirable that the matters raised in the Youth Parliament may relate to the subject as of welfare activities, defence of the country, social justice, social reforms, economic development, communal harmony, health, student’s discipline, information technology etc. In this participants Share their views on the topics the National Education Policy 2020 will transform education in India, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan-Unleashing the power of communities and using technologies for their upliftment, Unlocking rural economy in the face of new normal, Zero budget Natural Farming is a boon for farm. At last the programme concluded and chief guest and other members appreciated the role of BSG and NYK and said that in future such types of programme should be organized.
