World AIDS Day Awareness Rally 2025
We were inspired to take this initiative because many people still lack correct knowledge about HIV/AIDS and those affected often face stigma and discrimination. World AIDS Day encouraged us to take responsibility as Scouts and Guides to spread awareness and support the community. Our goal was to educate people, promote kindness, and help build a society where everyone is treated with respect and understanding.
We planned and participated in an awareness rally on 1st December 2025, organized by the Health & Family Welfare Department, Eastern Railway Asansol. The rally began from Asansol Railway Station and proceeded to the Divisional Railway Hospital. Our Scout and Guide team marched with posters, red ribbons, slogans, and band music to attract public attention. We interacted with people, shared awareness messages about HIV prevention and treatment, and encouraged them to stand against discrimination.
Through this project, I learned the importance of awareness and correct information in fighting serious health issues like HIV/AIDS. I understood how stigma and fear can be reduced when we speak openly and support each other. This project improved our communication, teamwork, and leadership skills while interacting with the community. I also learned that even a small effort, like a rally or awareness campaign, can create a big impact and inspire others to take positive action.
