The project of smart waste management was carried out in college of science and technology college campus. College was under self containment zone during this pandemic period being at the national border. Total of 52 college rover joined to carry out this project. We had done weekly waste segregation. Along with waste segregation we also made dustbin to stored our reusable items like bottles to reused and to sell for fund generation.
This project was beneficial for all college student, staff and their family that sum up to more than 1000. This project not only helped us generate fund for club but also it has kept all rovers actively engaged during this pandemic. With this project, our club got to design waste shed to carried out our new project when budgets are ready. Hence, our project brought positive changes in our college.
The takeaway from this project was we must work in team so that we can complete any sorts of works at faster pace. We also learnt about segregation of waste for better waste management. Moreover, we learnt that we must practice reuse, recycle and reduce(3R) to reduces the effect of waste on the environment, health and so on.
