Sharing Iftar, Spreading Hope

Ramadan is a month of compassion, generosity, and sharing. While observing the fast, I realised that many people in my community struggle to afford a proper meal for iftar. This awareness inspired me to take action. I wanted to turn the spirit of Ramadan into something meaningful by sharing food with those in need and reminding them that they are not alone. Through this project, I aimed to spread kindness, hope, and a sense of togetherness.
The project was carried out on 22 February by a team of 30 volunteers who worked for over six hours each day. The project was funded through independent fundraising. We distributed iftar meals at footpaths, railway stations, and launch terminals, ensuring proper and respectful distribution. In total, 100 people received iftar through this initiative.
This project taught me the importance of teamwork, leadership, and responsibility. I also learned how proper planning and coordination can make a community service activity more effective. Most importantly, I realised that even small efforts can create a meaningful impact when done with sincerity and compassion.
