On 15th August 2018, dreams of many scouts and leaders of Imaaduddin, Rehendhi and Dhiffushi was fulfilled as the camp that was planned for years, finally came to a reality, as "Fanaaru 2018" was established at Dhiffushi with Izuhaan Abdulla leading the camp as Camp Chief. More than 100 scouts from Imaduddin School, Rehendhi School and Dhiffushi School participated in the camp, with about 20 counselors working together to monitor each and every patrol, and to ensure that the camp goes as smoothly as possible. All scouts from all the patrols worked very hard to complete the camp award activities. They include swimming, raft building, community services, an obstacle course and many more. They all learned important life skills, outdoor skills and most of all, friendship, leadership, and having fun, as that is what scouting is all about! The counselors were no exception. They worked hard, day and night, helping the scouts, and ensuring that everything goes as planned. "Fanaaru 2018" was the first scout camp for most of the scouts that participated in this camp. Even so, they worked hard, and tried to make the camp as enjoyable to themselves as possible. They all learned something. Something that they could carry on, for their lifetime. Personally, I have gone to a fair number of camps myself. And honestly, "Fanaaru 2018" is the best camp I have ever gone to. I had an unforgettable experience, had many new friends, but most of all, I learned something new. I knew that no matter how you plan something, it almost never goes according to plan. That's what we scouts are for. We scouts always say: BE PREPARED. Special thanks to Izuhaan Abdulla, and his fellow crew members, and all those who helped to make "Fanaaru 2018" a reality.
