Sairam Scouts – World Clean-Up Day 2026
Our inspiration came from the Scout spirit of service, environmental responsibility, and community participation. As Sairam Scouts, we wanted to contribute meaningfully to World Clean-Up Day by keeping a sacred public space clean and hygienic. The project encouraged Scouts and Guides to take collective action, spread awareness about cleanliness, and inspire others to protect nature and build a healthier future.
The project was executed by Sairam Scouts and Guides through a coordinated Temple Clean-Up Drive at Thiruthuraipoondi. Volunteers worked together to clean the temple premises, collect and segregate waste, and maintain the surroundings. Scouts actively participated in promoting cleanliness and environmental awareness among the community. The activity was organized with teamwork, discipline, and the spirit of service.
Through this project, we learned the importance of teamwork, discipline, responsibility, and community service. We understood that maintaining cleanliness requires consistent individual and collective efforts. The activity strengthened our environmental awareness and encouraged us to practice waste management. Most importantly, we learned that small actions can create meaningful changes and inspire others to contribute towards a cleaner, greener, and healthier community.
