Roots For Tommorow-2025
The "Roots For Tomorrow–2025" initiative was inspired by the spirit of Bangladesh Scouts Day, celebrated on April 8. As a Former Senior Patrol Leader, I strongly believe that every scout has a responsibility to contribute to a greener and more sustainable future. With the growing threats of deforestation and climate change, the need to plant trees and protect our environment is more urgent than ever. This project aimed to create awareness within our community and set an example for future generations through meaningful action.
To mark this special occasion, I led a tree plantation drive on our campus. The project involved selecting suitable spots, gathering saplings, and organizing a hands-on plantation event. I was supported by Raiyan Mollah, a Rover Member of the Samatat Open Scout Group, whose active participation helped ensure smooth execution. Together, we planted multiple trees, emphasizing native and long-lasting species to maximize environmental impact.
This project reinforced the importance of teamwork, planning, and environmental stewardship. I learned how a simple action like planting a tree can have long-term positive effects on the ecosystem and inspire others to take responsibility. It also strengthened my belief that scouts are not just uniformed volunteers but active changemakers. Most importantly, I realized that small steps taken today truly lay down strong roots for tomorrow.
