Reiterating Unity: BSG Foundation Day 2025

The Bharat Scouts and Guides was established on 07 November 1950 through unification of all existing scouting organizations in India, thereby the day marking a historic milestone of scouting unity in the country. Hence, the day is celebrated and commemorated as the Foundation Day or Flag Day in general. Instilling the sense of collectivism and unity among members of the organisation and projecting the same to the society was the primary motivational force behind the project.

The project involved coordinating with varied educational institutions and scouting stakeholders for the purpose of gathering young people and adult leaders while conducting a unity march for showcasing togetherness, a fundraising drive involving engagement with members of the community and a poster making competition for young cubs and bulbuls. Hosted at Makkala Koota Park, a place of significance as it was the previous headquarters for scouting.

The project helped raise awareness among members of the scout movement and the society on the collective unity and exponential impact of scouting. It helped develop best practices for organizing an awareness rally alongside a fundraising drive while effectively mobilizing young people to create a change and project a impactful cause within the community.
