A Pilot Project of Waste-conscious Rover Moot
A scout camp should have been ecological-conscious. One of the aspects is waste production and management. With our capacity, experience, and environmental networking, our Scouts group wanted to start a pilot project for a waste-conscious camp, at our city's Rover Moot.
We started to arrange a waste-conscious scheme with the Moot's planning and organizing team. Waste reduction will and schemes, also waste sorting and recycling ensurement, have been the center of our discussion. When the camp started, our team were making a brief session and monitoring to ensure the sorting implementation. At the end of the camp, we ensured the sorted waste are sent to the recycling center, and reported an impact measurement to be evaluated.
A pilot project is all about make a good lesson learnt. So all of the good practices and implementation, and the bad practices, have been put in the lesson learnt, to make a better implementation and good guideline for the future occasions (Scouts camp/event).
