Paper Bag Day 2026: A Step Towards Sustainability
On the occasion of World Paper Bag Day 2026, we were motivated to spread awareness about the harmful effects of single-use plastic bags and encourage people to adopt eco-friendly alternatives. Through this campaign, we inspired shopkeepers and the community to use paper and cloth bags, helping protect nature, reduce pollution, and build a cleaner, greener future.
Our Scout team organized a World Paper Bag Day 2026 awareness campaign by preparing handmade paper bags, posters, and awareness placards. We visited local shops and interacted with shopkeepers and community members, explaining the harmful effects of plastic bags and encouraging them to switch to paper and cloth bags. The campaign also included awareness talks, poster displays, and the distribution of reusable bags to promote sustainable habits and environmental responsibility.
Through this project, we learned that small actions can create a big impact. We understood the importance of reducing plastic waste, promoting eco-friendly alternatives, and spreading environmental awareness. We also developed teamwork, communication, leadership, and community service skills while encouraging people to choose paper and cloth bags for a cleaner and greener future.
