Monarch Butterfly Habitat in South Carolina

Monarch Butterfly numbers are in great decline over recent decades.

After coordinating with the Sesquicentennial State Park for permission to plant, contact seed donors (Richland Soil and Water Conservations & South Carolina Wildlife Federation) for donated seeds for our project. Sesquicentennial State Park provided an area where the Pack c conduct its planting.

Monarch Butterflies migrate in Spring and Fall. Through human expansion sizable areas of Monarch Habitat have been wiped out. Without Milkweed, Monarchs will not lay eggs.
