Mirpur Kalshi Fire 2026

Serving as a Rover Scout is a moral responsibility and duty. On the night of May 25, 2026, I reached the scene of the fire at Mirpur Kalshi after hearing the news. The main ideal of the Scout movement is to protect people's lives and property and stand by them in times of disaster. Out of that sense of responsibility, I decided to participate in this emergency service activity.
The project was implemented in response to a fire emergency in a local slum area. Upon seeing the fire, I immediately rushed to the scene and assisted the local community in their initial efforts to bring the fire under control. When the fire brigade arrived, I volunteered to stand by their side, operating water pipes and clearing the way for their equipment. I also helped evacuate children and the elderly from the affected houses to a safe place.
By volunteering at the Kalshi slum fire, I gained practical experience in emergency situations, quick decision-making, teamwork, leadership and coordination skills, maintaining discipline, and a sense of humanitarian responsibility. I also learned more about disaster management, ensuring public safety, and the importance of standing by people in danger. This experience will inspire me to work as a more efficient and responsible volunteer in the future.
