Madaum Corn Harvest: Rover Scouts Gather 2 Tons

The Scouts were motivated to take part in the Madaum Corn Harvest to apply their skills, work together, and make a real impact on their community. Seeing the tangible results of teamwork—2 tons of harvested corn—fueled their passion for agriculture, leadership, and service, inspiring them to keep contributing to sustainable and meaningful community projects.

Rover Scouts of Tagum City Council executed the project by dividing the 2.4-hectare cornfield into manageable sections, each group taking responsibility for their own area. Working simultaneously, all groups coordinated their efforts to efficiently harvest, sort, and bag the corn. This highlighted the power of teamwork, organization, and shared commitment, allowing the Scouts to make a meaningful impact on the community together.

The Scouts learned the value of teamwork, leadership, and perseverance through hands-on agricultural work. They discovered that careful planning, cooperation, and adaptability are key to overcoming challenges—like rainy weather and limited manpower—and that their efforts can create a tangible impact on the community, fostering both agricultural skills and a sense of service. #Scouts #GreenRising #ScoutsforSDGs
