Growing Together - Tree-Planting Project

We wanted young people to take practical action for the environment while building friendships across cultures. The project aimed to develop a sense of responsibility for climate action through hands-on tree planting and long-term care.
Mongolian and Japanese Scouts worked together to prepare, plant and water saplings in Bulgan Province. Participants also learned proper tree-care techniques and joined cultural exchange activities including Japanese food, traditional clothing and games.
We learned that environmental action becomes more meaningful when young people take part directly and continue caring for what they have planted.
