Good Turn in Action: Clothing Drive by Rovers
The project was inspired by the Rover Scout belief in “Service before Self.” Observing the clothing needs of underprivileged people in the community motivated the Rovers to act. The idea of turning a simple Good Turn into meaningful service encouraged the team to initiate this clothing drive with responsibility and compassion.
The clothing drive was carried out by 10 Rovers, who collectively took the initiative to serve the community. After collecting and sorting usable clothes, the team distributed them among 89 beneficiaries in the selected area. The activity was conducted with discipline and compassion, ensuring dignity for every beneficiary and successfully fulfilling the objective of a meaningful Good Turn in Action.
Through this project, the Rovers learned the true value of service, teamwork, and leadership. The activity strengthened their sense of social responsibility and taught them how small efforts, when done collectively, can create meaningful impact. It also helped the Rovers understand the importance of planning, discipline, and serving others with dignity and empathy.
