FEEDING AND CLEANING
I was inspired by seeing growing plastic pollution in our local community and learning about global environmental actions through JOTA-JOTI. Witnessing trash harm our public spaces motivated me to step up. My goal was to promote waste reduction, encourage recycling, and create a cleaner, greener environment for everyone.
I organized a community waste reduction and clean-up drive with my Scout group. We raised awareness about single-use plastics, distributed reusable alternatives, and set up proper recycling bins in public areas. Through teamwork and local community engagement, we collected litter and encouraged neighborhood residents to adopt sustainable habits.
Through this project, I learned the importance of effective teamwork, community engagement, and clear communication. I realized that small personal actions in waste reduction can lead to big environmental impacts. Most importantly, I learned how to lead initiative-driven projects and inspire others to adopt sustainable habits.
