Embracing Whole School Approach Scouting Program

As His Majesty said, 'You can't give what you don't have.' So, to have effective implementation of Whole School Approach Scouting Program, the Scout leaders need to be trained. This is why we conducted 5 days BULT course.
BULT course for Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag was held at Garpawoong MSS for 5 days. The teachers with no scouting background was nominated for the course from every school by the SSA and further finalized by the DSA. 8 resource person were nominated including camp coordinator and the Dzongkhag Scout Secretary. The participants were asked to arrange tent and other materials required for camping.
Around 50000 children are benefited from the project. The trained scout leaders had a positive impact on our youths. The scouting values, skills and the knowledge are imparted to the children and those children will benefit the community.
This project made me realize that the scouting program need to be injected to every Bhutanese youth. The scouting skills, the values and the knowledge are very important for the children and it is a life long learning. I want to inspire my children and in future I want to make sure that this children will carry on the scouting program to the next level.
