EcoErase: Wipe Out Plastic

Plastic pollution is one of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time. As a scout and a responsible citizen, I believe it’s essential to take proactive steps to protect our surroundings. On the occasion of Bangladesh Scouts Day, I wanted to do something impactful and meaningful. The idea behind EcoErase: Wipe Out Plastic was to raise awareness about the dangers of plastic waste and to inspire others by leading through action. The project aimed to promote a cleaner, plastic-free environment within our campus and encourage sustainable habits.

On April 8, I initiated the plastic cleaning drive across our campus. With support from Raiyan Mollah, a dedicated Rover Member of the Samatat Open Scout Group, we carried out a systematic cleanup of plastic waste scattered across different areas. We collected wrappers, bottles, and other single-use plastic items and ensured proper disposal. Throughout the process, we also encouraged onlookers and fellow students to join and understand the importance of reducing plastic use in daily life.
