Development of Meal Serving station/Point

The initiative was strongly motivated by the lack of a proper serving station, where cooks and children had to stand in long queues under scorching sun and rain while receiving meals. This challenge highlighted the need for a sheltered and organized space, leading to the development of a more comfortable and efficient meal serving arrangement for the children.
The construction of the meal serving station near the dining hall was executed through the active participation of teachers and supporting staff. Teachers and supporting staff contributed their time, effort, and skills during the construction process. The project was successfully completed, providing a convenient and organized space for serving meals to children near the dining hall.
Through this project, I learned the importance of identifying real challenges faced by children and addressing them to improve their wellbeing. It strengthened my understanding that school facilities should prioritize the comfort, safety, and dignity of students, especially in their daily routines. In addition, the project helped me to reinforce the value of creating child-friendly environments that promote the physical and emotional wellbeing of children.
