The resolution for World Bicycle Day recognizes "the uniqueness, longevity and versatility of the bicycle, which has been in use for two centuries, and that it is a simple, affordable, reliable, clean and environmentally fit sustainable means of transport." On this day almost 40 scouts, guides, of Alipurduar jn. participated on a Cycle Rally of almost 6 km and show peoples of Alipurduar that cycle is a very cheap as well as very healthy way of transport.
