Community service to build Chorten

I was inspired to take part in the Chorten construction to support my community and honour our Buddhist beliefs and rich cultural traditions. As a Scout, I wanted to make a meaningful contribution by working alongside others, sharing responsibilities, and offering my service with sincerity while helping preserve our spiritual heritage for future generations.

As Scouts, we volunteered to support the construction of a Chorten by helping carry and transport stones and other building materials to the required location. We worked together, shared responsibilities, and offered our time and energy to assist with the construction work. Although our contribution was small compared to the entire project, we were proud to play a part in building a place of religious and cultural significance. Through this activity, we demonstrated teamwork, dedication, and selfless service while helping preserve our Buddhist traditions and cultural heritage for future generations.

Our contribution helped transport essential materials for the Chorten construction and supported the progress of the project. This activity strengthened teamwork, community spirit, and our commitment to preserving Bhutan’s Buddhist heritage.

This experience helped me understand the importance of community service and supporting religious activities. I developed greater discipline, teamwork, and a willingness to help others with enthusiasm. I also learned that every contribution is meaningful, no matter how small, and that sincere efforts can make a difference even when a task remains unfinished.
