Building Awareness for a Sustainable Future
I wanted to create awareness about population growth, its impact on natural resources, healthcare, education, employment and the environment. The aim was to encourage responsible choices and greater understanding of sustainable development.
I conducted an awareness activity with Scouts/community members using simple discussions and informative messages. I explained the importance of education, healthcare, responsible family planning, gender equality and efficient use of limited resources. Participants were encouraged to share the message with others.
I learned how population-related issues affect society and the environment. The activity improved my communication, awareness-building and leadership skills and taught me the importance of responsible citizenship.
