Blood Donation: A Gift of Life
As a Rover Scout, I am deeply committed to community service and saving lives. Knowing the constant, critical demand for safe blood at hospitals inspired me to step forward, contribute to healthcare, and embody the Messengers of Peace spirit by helping a patient in need.
On August 25, 2025, I visited Kurmitola General Hospital to voluntarily donate blood for a patient. I went through the standard medical screening, successfully donated one bag of blood, and received a donor card. Afterwards, I encouraged my fellow peers to participate in voluntary blood donation.
Through this project, I learned how a single act of voluntary service can make a life-saving impact on someone in need. I gained firsthand knowledge of the standard medical screening and blood donation procedures at a hospital. Additionally, it taught me the importance of raising awareness about blood donation within my community to inspire others to step forward.
