Blood donating
The inspiration behind starting this blood donation project came from the urgent and ongoing need for blood in hospitals. Every day, countless patients—accident victims, surgery cases, and people with blood disorders—struggle to find donors. As a Rover Scout, I strongly believe in serving humanity. Knowing that one unit of blood can save up to three lives deeply moved me and encouraged our team to take the initiative to organize a blood donation camp and promote awareness.
I saw a post in an online group requesting AB+ blood for a delivery patient, which included a contact number. Out of a sense of humanitarian responsibility, I immediately called the number and inquired about the patient's condition and the timing. Then, at the scheduled time, I went to the hospital, completed the necessary health check-up, and successfully donated blood.
Through this experience, I learned that even a single act of kindness—like donating blood—can have a powerful impact on someone’s life. I realized the importance of being responsive, responsible, and available in times of need. This project also taught me how essential it is to stay connected with communities, be alert to urgent calls for help, and take quick action with proper coordination. Most importantly, I felt the inner satisfaction that comes from serving humanity selflessly
