Afghanistan-Community Development Project Part II

The idea of this project came from: we thought to ourselves that why not use an energy source which is less harmful for the planet; and then we came up with idea of to use the energy which is all free 365 days of the year, the SUN! not to be forgotten that it was also this project to illustrate the fact to the residents of the area to use the energy which is less harmful, free, and better.

as Badghis is a remote province in Afghanistan and most of the people doesn't have access to electricity, so based on that we planned to implement this project (3KW Solar Panels) in an area where the orphanage is located. the project was accomplished by the troop members of the orphanage. which were leaded by project leader and scout troop members.

more than 150 scouts and orphans are in the mentioned orphanage, and all of them were benefited from the electricity which is produced by the solar panels. they now could study in the night time, and this was not possible previously. moreover, the residents of that area were impacted by the this project, and we have shown them a good picture of how to use a clean, a better, and less harmful energy.

regarding learning sides of the project; the troop members of the same orphanage have learned about solar energy, how to install solar panels, how to use a renewable energy, how to think of solutions for challenges, and last but not least, how we can contribute to the earth.
