Spreading Peace Through Creativity, Safety, and Unity
On 21st September 2025, Jaringay Primary School observed International Peace Day with the theme “Act Now to Build Peace.” The celebration aimed to promote peace, awareness, and youth participation through a variety of meaningful activities.
The program began with a meditation session, encouraging students to reflect on the importance of peace in daily life. This was followed by a PowerPoint presentation on the meaning of peace and the showcasing of the peace symbol to strengthen understanding among the young learners. A lively dance performance to the song “Messenger of Peace” added energy and joy to the event, spreading the message of unity through art.
To foster creativity, a poster-making competition was organized where students displayed their thoughts and visions of peace through artwork. In addition, an earthquake mock drill was conducted to create awareness on safety and preparedness, reminding everyone that peace also comes from being ready to face challenges responsibly.
Overall, the Peace Day celebration at Jaringay Primary School was a great success. The activities not only deepened the students’ understanding of peace but also empowered them to take an active role in building a safer and more harmonious community.
