Spreading Harmony Through International Peace Day

Denchukha Lower Secondary school observed International Peace Day with great enthusiasm and active participation. The program began with the singing of the National Anthem and the Scout Anthem, followed by warm welcome speeches from a teacher and two students. A butter lamp offering was made as a symbol of light, hope, and harmony. The cultural program featured a colorful mop dance and an energetic aerobic dance. This was followed by the Peace Tree activity, where teachers and students hung their written pledges, creating a beautiful reminder of unity and commitment to peace. Next, a solemn Peace Oath-taking ceremony was held, where everyone pledged to uphold kindness, respect, and non-violence in their daily lives. After that, the program continued with the Peace Rally. With soft music playing, students held incense sticks and, once the music stopped, they spoke their pledges aloud with sincerity. The celebration concluded with the strong message that peace begins with each one of us and can be nurtured through small acts of kindness and responsibility.
