PCE Rover's role in Jamboree

The project was inspired by its importance as a National Scout Program and the initiative taken by PCE Rover Club, under the guidance and leadership of Club Adviser Mr. Tempa Gyeltshen and Coordinator Mr. Sangay Tobden. Their commitment and encouragement motivated us to contribute to the preparation and successful implementation of the programme. It also provided us with an opportunity to demonstrate the spirit of service and teamwork.

Through this project, I learned that Scouting brings people together, regardless of their schools or colleges, to work collaboratively towards a common goal. Volunteers from different institutions joined hands, shared responsibilities, and completed the assigned tasks within the given timeframe. This experience strengthened my understanding of teamwork, leadership, coordination, and collective responsibility.

A total of 65 volunteers were divided into four groups to carry out various activities simultaneously over a period of more than two weeks. I had the responsibility of leading a team assigned to cut grass and beautify the area surrounding the Scout Centre. Other activities included weeding, transporting furniture, sweeping, carrying pebbles, painting, and setting up sub-camps for participants. Through proper coordination and active participation, we contributed to preparing a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for the National Scout Programme.
