Nazhoen Overnight Camp

We were inspired to give young Scouts the fun and excitement of outdoor camping while providing hands-on experience in essential Scouting skills such as first aid, rope work, teamwork and cooperation. Our goal was to make learning enjoyable and memorable.

Through this programme, I learned the importance of teamwork, leadership and cooperation. I also gained experience in organising outdoor activities, engaging Scouts and managing risks while ensuring their safety. I would improve future camps by introducing more practical and interactive activities.

The project was conducted over three days at Lakhu. It began with a five-hour hike from Kabesa to Lakhu, where Scouts followed trail signs and discovered hidden messages. At the campsite, activities included team-building exercises, outdoor adventures, drill sessions, first aid training and time management. The camp also featured an award ceremony recognising the Best Platoon and Best Camper.
