Nachung Scout Camp: Skills, Unity & Confidence

The Dzongkhag Scout Association of Lhuentse organised the Nachung Camp from 9th to 13th September 2026, bringing together 210 students from seven schools, along with 40 escorts and resource persons, to promote teamwork, leadership, discipline, and confidence. Each day began with aerobics and drill sessions to enhance physical fitness, coordination, and unity among the scouts. During the day, scouts participated in adventure activities such as catwalk, monkey bars, spider web, crawling, obstacle crossing, rope balancing, and ladder climbing. These challenges encouraged scouts to support one another, communicate effectively, solve problems, and overcome difficulties together. The evenings featured cultural competitions, quiz competitions, and a fancy parade night, providing opportunities for scouts to showcase their talents, creativity, knowledge, and teamwork. Through these activities, scouts learned the importance of cooperation, mutual respect, responsibility, and helping their fellow scouts. The Nachung Camp was more than an outdoor adventure; it was an opportunity to put the Scout Promise and Law into practice. By working together, sharing responsibilities, and encouraging one another, the scouts strengthened their bonds and developed valuable life skills. The camp truly reflected the spirit of scouting: “Together we learn, together we grow, and together we serve.”
