Job Description
Title: Executive to Support Operations in Interamerican Scout Region
Location: Panama City
Responsible to: Regional Director of WSB- IAR
Internal Relations: Regional Director and other Staff at the WSB-IAR
Members of the Interamerican Scout Committee.
External Relations
Representatives of the National Scout Organizations in the Interamerican Scout Region.
NGOs and other youth organizations.
Professional bodies, consultants and government representatives.
Main Tasks:
Support the work (both on-site and remote) of the national teams of the NSOs , in order to promote organizational development and growth of each of them.
Collaborate in the design, organization, promotion and implementation of subregional and regional events both for youth and/or for adults.
Assist the national teams of the NSO in implementing regional and global policies, initiatives and programs from the regional and world level.
Cooperate with the directors of the Strategic Areas of the WSB-IAR ( Youth Programme, Adults in Scouting and Institutional Development) in the design, development, production and implementation of materials and experiences as well as the necessary research.
Promote the integration of the NSOs both in the Interamerican Region and in the World Scouting.
Promote and maintain ties of cooperation and communication with bodies and organizations in accordance with the directives issued by the Regional Director and the regional and global policies.
Maintain ongoing communication with both the Regional Director as the Directors in WSB-IAR.
Run all the directives given by the Regional Director of the OSM-RI.

Education
University degree or equivalent work experience. Essential
Ability to communicate fluently in the two official languages of Interamerican Scout Region: Spanish and English. Essential
Knowledge
Thorough knowledge of the policies of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, and Interamerican Scout Region. Essential
Complete knowledge of the organizational structure of WSB and world strategies. Essential
Complete knowledge or existing Regional Plan 2014-2016. Essential
Motivation
Ability to lead teams of staff and/or volunteers. Essential
Ability to work as a team member. Essential
Ability to work in inter-cultural a multi-cultural environment. Essential
Ability to work with a minimum of supervision. Essential
Practical skills

Previous experience in volunteer or professional positions in a NSO of WOSM. Desirable
