Empowering Youth Leaders: LifeLeaders National Training Sparks Action Across the Philippines

From May 21–23, 2025, Scout leaders from all 11 Regional Coordinating Offices and 23 councils of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines gathered at Makiling National Scout Reservation for the LifeLeaders National Training. This three-day event equipped them with skills in design thinking, project management, and monitoring and evaluation to lead impactful community projects.

Participants developed action plans tailored to their local contexts and presented innovative service projects focusing on education, animal welfare, sustainability, and indigenous community support. The training emphasized the crucial role of Scout Leaders in managing grants and guiding Scouts through implementation.

Despite the challenge of coordinating over 300 projects and aiming for thousands of Scouts to earn badges, the leaders showed readiness and commitment. The closing ceremony celebrated their dedication and renewed purpose.

These leaders now form a strong core team poised to drive meaningful, sustainable change through the LifeLeaders Initiative nationwide.
