Dialogue for Peace trainings. A great start in Eurasia this weekend!

Dialogue for Peace trainings. A great start in Eurasia this weekend!

On 24-25 June, in Kiev took place the first Dialogue for Peace training, from a cluster of three trainings, envisioned for Eurasia region NSOs. This training gathered representatives from Educational Methods teams and MoP national coordinators- from Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine. It had as objectives to ensure dialogue will be something recognized in the Youth Programme, and also that dialogue can be used as a tool to address and solve challenges between structures and also between people. The Agenda of the training covered topics such as: peacebuilding and conflict, identity, perceptions and misperceptions, Dialogue for peace programme, Dialogue in practice, the Dialogical scout and Dialogue personal pledge. The participants received knowledge, practical skills, but also developed behaviors on how they shall solve conflicts, discuss about certain issues outside their comfort zones and apply the knowledge both in their scout lives, as an educational method tool, but also in their daily lives. This training was organized in partnership with King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID), whose expertise was highly valuable for the successful conduct of the training. A big thank you to them for this.
