On the occasion of World Child Labor Prohibition Day, KC Gurukul Unit of Bharat Scouts and Guides, District Udhampur organized programs at various places in the district for public awareness. On this occasion, Scout Master Rakesh Sharma explained to the children that the main purpose of celebrating this day is to stop child labor. Every year, it is an effort to highlight the plight of child labor on World Day on 12 June. Governments, employers and labor organizations, civil society as well as millions of people around the world are made aware and many campaigns are also run to help them. The theme of 2021 World Day Against Child Labor is 'Saving Children in the Age of Corona Virus'. Child labor is a blot on humanity. It is the duty of every civilized society to stop this. 'World Day Against Child Labor' alerts us to protect the interests of children. On this occasion, the right way of washing hands was explained to the children by Sagar Open Group in Julad. On this occasion, he told that there is a vicious cycle between child labour, poverty, illiteracy and diseases, which generate and then multiply each other. Education is the only weapon by which all these evils can be eradicated. On this occasion, their rights were apprised by the Child Line team and asked to call 1098 for any assistance. On this occasion Scout Master Khemraj, Ved Kumar, Guide Captain Divyangna Dubey, Anuradha Sharma, Priyanka Sharma etc. also gave their views.
