Traffic control in unusual conditions
After the July-August uprising, the government in Bangladesh fell. As a result, many officials, including traffic police, were absent from work due to the unstable environment in the country. As a result, traffic jams started on the roads due to lack of administration. Scouts and Rovers were the first to come forward to resolve the traffic jams.
Voluntary Traffic Control Initiative by Pabna District Rover Scouts. Pabna District Rover Scouts undertook a voluntary initiative to help manage traffic. In Bangladesh, during times of unrest or special situations, chaos often arises on the roads, increasing the risk of accidents and causing public suffering. In such conditions, Pabna District Rover Scouts actively participated in traffic control at key intersections of the city. We assisted pedestrians in crossing roads safely, supported the movement of vehicles, and raised awareness about wearing helmets and following traffic rules.
Through this project I learned how to help achieve the goal of serving sustainable cities and society, building a healthy and prosperous world.
