On the ocassion of Independence Day;Gossaigaon Town Commitee and the civil Administration had organised a threee day programme in Gossaigaon starting from 12th of August. on the second day ,a Swachha Bharat Abhiyan was organised ,where the Guides from Gossaigaon Girls' High School had also participatd voluntarily. The project started from Gossaigaon Chariali to Gossaigaon H.S. School playground.plant saplings were distributed among the common folk by the DFO(kachugaon Division). The programme ended with the saplings planted by the students along with the public.
