Sustentable trashcans to our new scout hall

This project was motivated by a working team made by the young (15 to 17 years old) scouts of our group. They decided to cread a project that reduces the amount of materials used in the production of trash cans by building a trashcan for our scouts hall, only made reused material.
They chosed a day, created a prototype and listed the materials that they needed. Than they gathered the needed materials and started to build. They made 2 trashcans by piling 3 tired for each trashcan, and used aproximatly 20 screws to put them toghether. Than, in one of the trashcans they adventured themselfes to create chair legs.
While working on this project, the young people learned how to create a product prototype, organize a list of materials, and use the tools necessary to build it. Also, they learned that by repurposing tires, they prevented 60 kg of rubber from being used in a way that would harm the environment, putting the material to a better use instead.
