Standing Beside the Burnt, The Milestone tragedy

I was deeply moved by the tragic Milestone College aircraft accident and the suffering it caused, especially among young students. Seeing the victims fight through pain and trauma, I felt a strong sense of responsibility as a Scout to step in—not just with hands, but with heart.
I executed the project by volunteering at the National Institute of Burn & Plastic Surgery right after the Milestone aircraft crash. As a Scout, I assisted victims and their families with basic care, emotional support, and coordination inside the hospital. Working closely with medical staff and fellow volunteers, I ensured our help was meaningful, respectful, and focused on bringing comfort during a critical time.
This project taught me the true meaning of empathy and emotional resilience. I learned how to support people in crisis, communicate with compassion, and work as part of a team under pressure. It also strengthened my belief in the importance of timely volunteer action and the powerful role Scouts can play in real-life emergencies.
