Scouts from Sri Lanka provide free water to the Devotees

Another an inspiring story : Scouts from Sri Lanka provide free water to the devotees at the Massive crowded Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya ( Sacred Fig tree ) in Anuradhapura Sri Lanka During The 2014 National Poson Religious Festival on Poson Poya Day, which Arahat Maha Mahinda Thera brought the message of Dhamma to the island. (It was on such a day that Arahat Maha Mahinda Thera arrived on Ambastala or Mihintale with Bhikkus Ittiya Uttiya, Sambala, Bhaddasala, novice monk Sumana and the lay disciple Bhanduka. The Buddhist Chronicles say that following the first Buddhist council held under the patronage of King Dharmashoka, Buddhist missionaries were sent to 9 countries. It was mostly successful in Sri Lanka as the then king Devanampiyatissa and the local people were converted. A revival took place in the religious, social, cultural and economic aspects of the country with the spread of Buddhism. It was through the light provided by Buddhism that the Sri Lankans could stand up independently.) Photo courtesy : Amila Vithanapathirana
