Scouts go Solar for Wichutit School

Wichutit School is the local administrative run by Bangkok Metropolitan that serve the local student in the Dindang district area of Bangkok. Mostly student are local children of worker and midle class parents. The School start at Kindergarden until grade 12 consist of more than 2,000 students and about 100 teachers.
The programme was delivered by trained youth Scouts who completed the Scout Go Solar National Co-ordinator training, promoting a peer-led learning approach. Key activities included Solar Cooking, Solar Energy, Sun Dial and Solar Art etc. providing hands-on experience and practical knowledge on renewable energy.

Participants gained essential knowledge and hands-on experience in solar energy and its practical applications through interactive activities. The project enhanced environmental awareness, while also strengthening leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills among Scout youth. It also demonstrated the effectiveness of youth-led, peer-to-peer learning in promoting sustainable practices and bring back knowledge to involving the environmantal and clean power in their communties
