Scouts engagement at the elderly care home

To bring light and joy into the everydays of the elderly people, most of them dealing with dementia To connect generations

We got permission to come and visit the elderly with the scouts. We organized a collection, collected and stored lamps, light strings and battery driven candles. We did our visit on the 25th of October. We decorated the home with all the lamps and strings we collected, and we sat new curtains up. We hand-crafted greeting cards, savored a cup of tea/coffee with cookies and played BINGO.

Little things can make a difference in someone's everydays, even if they forget the deed due to dementia, they preserve the feeling Connection between generations is beneficial for both parts
