A Scout's Birthday... With Purpose
I've always believed in Lord Baden Powell's wisdom: "The real way to gain happiness is to give it to others." This belief inspired me to turn my birthday into a celebration of giving, dedicated to a cause close to my heart. Witnessing the challenges faced by marginalized children firsthand fueled my desire to make a difference. Thus, I launched the #BirthdayWithPurpose donation drive, aiming to support these children and inspire others to join in creating a positive impact.
I realized that the children of AAA-B Orphanage were the focus of my #BirthdayWithPurpose project. I set up a donation drive and used social media for promotion. The campaign gained enthusiastic support from friends, family, and the community, resulting in generous donations. Transparent record-keeping ensured accountability and trust. The day was dedicated to engaging in fun activities, and distributing donations. Bringing a smile to the faces of those children was the best gift ever for me.
A birthday is a reminder that our time is limited. This project taught me that instead of fearing this reality, we should embrace it by living fully and passionately. Bringing smiles to the faces of the children made me realize that happiness feeling we create through our actions and choices. True fulfillment comes from making a positive impact on others' lives, inspiring me to continue spreading kindness and love wherever I go.
