SAVE MANGOVE MOTOR CYCLE HIKE
Motor cycle hike for awareness on SAVE MANGROVE, SAVE SUNDARBAN
The motor cycle hike starts from Ichapur, North 24 Parganas and after covering a distance of 165 kilometre we reach at Kalitala village at Hingalgunj Block under North 24 Parganas district. Total 18 rover and adult leader participated in the event.
Second day the team visit the mangrove plants and local bio diversity by boat in different islands of Sundarban Tiger Reserve.
Third day we planted 50 mangrove saplings at river bank and return back home.
The local people involve in our plantation programme and they learn the sustain benefit from mangrove plants in their livlihood and also impact on climate.
The take pledge to work for save mangrove in their village.
We learn the actual life style of the villagers living in this Sundarban area. They are very much suffering from scarcity of drinking water. In future we decided to collect fund and install a water treatment plant in the village.
