Safe Roads: Safe Lives.
Traffic control near hospitals is a vital, life- saving service. Every second matters for ambulances and patients. By managing traffic, raising awareness, and keeping hospital areas clear, we prevent delays and stress. It also teaches discipline, patience, and the value of helping others. Even small actions, like not blocking entrances and giving way to ambulances, make a big difference.
The National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery was under pressure due to the plane crash and fire at Milestone School. To avoid traffic congestion there, we, the members of the 36 Rescue Open Scout Group, came forward responsibly. Our work started in the morning. We started working in two divisions, so that the traffic control activities are more effective. By taking the responsibility of controlling traffic congestion at different ends of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, we work to keep the traffic congestion normal. As a result of our initiative, the traffic congestion has reduced to some extent and patients are also able to reach.
This project taught me how precious time is in emergencies and how teamwork, discipline, and patience can make a big difference. I learned that even small actions, like guiding traffic, can help save lives and that taking initiative to serve others is a powerful way to support the community.
